Green Marine AS   Green Marine works in all of AS Tallinn Sadam ports, but mostly in cargo ports like Muuga, Paldiski South and Old Ports. Since 2004, Green Marine AS offers waste management service to its partners. Their purpose is to keep our sea and beaches clean. Green Marine is a public-private-partnership type of company. It was created because of Estonia's accession to the European Union. While travelling, people always leave a lot of waste behind. The ship itself also produces a lot of waste while working, because of machinery and equipment, separation of marine fuels and other technical services. All hazardous waste needs to be taken safely to land to be recycled. Hazardous waste ·          Oily rags, paint, varnishes, solvents. ·          Photographic chemicals and detergents, batteries and accumulators, lamps. ·          Fluorescent and energy saving light oil. ·          Solid sludge medicines and other medical waste. URBAN WASTE MANAGEMENT Let's start closely!!!!! Our Scool  is becoming increasingly a "fully sustainable and inclusive" school, in strong synergy with other local actors who act to achieve the same goal:  To enhance the involvement of young people towards the care and respect for the environment and to promote respect for each other and the Earth. With this aim, a dialogue was opened with students to detect the "critical issues" that make the school environment "less beautiful", to find ways of shared actions. It was the invitation of the Headmaster of IISS "Enrico Fermi", welcomed with enthusiasm by his students who on 11th November 2021, in respect of safety regulations and the Covid protocol, voluntarily put themselves at the service of the entire school community by cleaning up the external areas of the school. The students equipped with gloves, rakes, and bags for the  waste sorting  were divided into teams, each of which was entrusted

All the teams are working on the same topic!!! URBAN WASTE MANAGEMENT How does recycling work in Italy? Italy is top in the European Union for waste recycling at 76.9% of urban, industrial, and other waste.  Towns collect recyclable rubbish door-to-door , with residents required to separate their waste or it's collected from designated large bins.  These bins are labeled to collect glass, plastic, organic waste, and paper. Waste management in Italy is  managed at a municipal level in accordance with national legislation  and differs widely from area to area.  Typically, rubbish is collected by a waste disposal company contracted to the comune (municipal authority).  Funding for the system comes from a refuse disposal/garbage tax.
