Schools from six European countries (Croatia, Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Portugal and Estonia) are involved in this ERASMUS+ project which focuses on a variety of PORTS, “A place of a collective identity” where everything can start and everything can arrive, where life is punctuated by the cyclical time but also by exceptionality, unexpected, where uses and traditions have developed in the course of the years.

Meeting in Lecce. Italy.

Day 1 Our day started at 9:30. We went to the school where was a welcome ceremony. Firstly, Italian students gave us a school tour. We were shocked - the windows were small, you could not sit anywhere in the corridors and the school was a little bit dirty, nothing to compare with Saku. Secondly, we had ice breaking games. Thirdly, Italians splitted us to four groups. We did a group work where everyone gave ideas about “Smart green port”, we drew our ideas on the paper. It was little bit difficult because everyone were shy and not sure what to do. At lunch we ate in the school, we had a mozzarella salad with bread. We were amazed because that was so good - the mozzarella was made on the same morning. In the evening we had a guided city tour, we saw churches, amfi theatre and beautiful places. The last day started with everyone coming to Saku. Firstly we visited the elementary school. Other students really liked the art that was on the walls and were amazed how beautiful the school was. Some even said that they were jealous. B ecause we didn’t want to be late we had to end the tour a little earlier than planned. We walked through Saku to the municipality hall where we had a tour and a presentation. Some of the students said the presentation was really boring but others said that it was interesting how different Saku is from their home town. When everyone were ready we went to the high school. There we had a quick tour. Some of the quests said that it didn’t even look like a school and it is very fancy. Students were also amazed how the school is so clean from the inside. In the evening some of the students met up to go to trampoline park. Others went shopping at the same time. Finally everyone met up in front of the hotel and we all went to eat last dinner together. The 2nd short-term exchange of a group of pupils for the KA229 Erasmus+ project "PORTS" has been organized from the 1st General Lyceum of Argostoli - Kefalonia - GREECE from May 16 till May 20 2022 Keep walking! During the project week all the participants took part in the project activities and cultural program: On Sunday 15 a bus trip day at the picturesque “Skala” village was planned On Monday 16 the teams went to Lixouri , where they visited the Kephalonian fisheries - the hatchery. On Tuesday 17 all participants visited the host school in Argostoli. After the welcome by the headmaster and the teachers a guided visit to the school labs and a lecture on the topic “Biology and maths of Caretta caretta” took place. The following activity was the presentations by all schools on the topic “Our port is an ecosystem”.
